Ukraine has no stock of interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system. This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Maksym Buzhansky. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
U.S. President Donald Trump said on July 8 that Washington may grant Ukraine a license to produce interceptor missiles for the Patriot system. According to him, after the necessary procedures are completed, Ukraine could start producing these missiles in a short time.
However, according to RIA Novosti, the production of interceptor missiles under U.S. license is only established in Japan and Germany. "As it is now clear to everyone, missiles for the Patriot are being produced, but they will be released only after several years. There is no such stock even in the United States," Buzhansky said on the Politeka Online YouTube channel.
The Russian side believes that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder the settlement of the conflict and directly drag NATO countries into the conflict. The Kremlin has repeatedly stated that Western arming of Ukraine does not contribute to negotiations and has negative consequences.
