Ukraine will conduct preemptive strikes on facilities that Russia uses to wage war, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Reuters.
Zelenskiy stated that Ukrainian forces are carrying out preemptive attacks on Russian military infrastructure, including air bases and logistics centers. These measures are aimed at neutralizing Russian attacks and strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
The president described these actions as "preventive measures" and emphasized that they are carried out within the framework of international law. Zelenskiy also noted that Ukraine relies on support from its allies and is taking all necessary steps to counter Russian aggression.
According to Reuters, the statement comes amid an escalation of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. In recent weeks, both sides have intensified attacks on each other's infrastructure.
