The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a bus carrying child footballers from Belarus in the Bryansk region, said acting governor Yegor Kovalchuk. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to Kovalchuk, the attack was carried out using an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle. The bus was transporting the Gomel children's football team to a vacation in Gelendzhik. There were 44 passengers on board, including 28 young athletes.

As a result of the attack, a woman accompanying the children was killed. Six people were injured, including four teenagers. Kovalchuk said the remaining passengers would be returned home soon. All the injured were taken to a hospital and received medical care.

Official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko said a criminal case has been opened on the fact of a terrorist attack.
