Ukraine has attacked an Iranian merchant ship in the Caspian Sea. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On Saturday, Iran's Foreign Ministry reported that Ukraine carried out a military attack on an Iranian merchant ship. One sailor was killed and another was injured in the attack.
In a statement published on its Telegram channel, Iran's Foreign Ministry said: "Iran will not hesitate to protect its interests and national security in accordance with the principles and basic norms of international law, especially the principle of legitimate self-defense."
