Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the negotiation process on Ukraine is temporarily suspended. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"The issue of peace negotiations is currently temporarily suspended and there are no new ideas," Peskov told reporters.

He had previously stated that the Kremlin would not publicly discuss various proposals regarding the peace process in Ukraine.

"Of course, it is not right to publicly discuss various data that may appear in various proposals regarding different approaches to the peace process. Therefore, I do not want to do that," Peskov said.

Peskov also said that Russia is open to a peaceful resolution of the situation in Ukraine.
