Ukraine must repay $160.348 billion in state debt by 2037. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The figures are based on an analysis of the payment schedule published by Ukraine's Finance Ministry. The ministry regularly draws up a payment schedule for servicing the country's state debt. However, it includes only the payments the ministry has entered into its payment calendar. It does not reflect the full amount of Ukraine's state debt, which reached $215.55 billion as of the end of August.

According to the payment schedule published by Ukraine's Finance Ministry, Kyiv must pay $103.813 billion to repay the principal on external and domestic debt and another $56.535 billion to service it by the end of 2027. Thus, over the next 10 years Ukraine will pay $160.348 billion to repay its state debt.

According to estimates by Ukrainian officials, the country's state debt will reach 10 trillion 146 billion hryvnias, or $226 billion, by the end of this year. Ukraine's draft state budget for 2027 projects a deficit of $37 billion and an increase in state debt to $276 billion.

EU chief Ursula von der Leyen, following the EU summit in Brussels, said that Ukraine's financial needs will continue to grow despite the large-scale support already being provided by the European Union.
