Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliev explained the issue of compensation payments to Kazakhstani entrepreneurs in connection with fires at Wildberries warehouses. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Earlier, several large Wildberries warehouses in Russia burned down after a drone attack.
According to the minister, no insurance or other payments are provided in Kazakhstan due to the situation in the neighboring country.
"Since this issue happened in another state, we have no legislative tools or rules. Secondly, we all know the current situation well, it is very complex. Therefore, insurance is needed in Russia, or other warehouses should be used," Shakkaliev said at a briefing in the government.
To date, the ministry has not received any applications from Kazakhstani entrepreneurs.
"This is personal responsibility. The contract between Wildberries and the entrepreneur specifies all terms," the minister added.
