According to the minister's statement, the spread of Ebola in the country has been stopped and the virus is considered eliminated. This is a significant achievement for Uganda, as the Ebola virus has previously caused several outbreaks in the country, leading to deaths.
The health minister attributed the success to the efforts of healthcare workers and support from international organizations. The vaccination campaign against Ebola also played a crucial role.
