Volkswagen has shipped the first batch of cars for official sales in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the importer's press service, the batch includes models of Volkswagen and Jetta brands of different classes.
First shipment
The cars were sent from the FAW-Volkswagen production site in China. This is the first delivery after the agreement between Orbis Auto and Volkswagen China.
Among the confirmed models are the Volkswagen Passat sedan and the Tayron crossover. However, the full model lineup has not been disclosed yet.
Adaptation to Kazakhstan's conditions
According to the company, the cars were prepared taking into account Kazakhstan's climatic and road conditions. The adaptation affected powertrains, electronic systems, suspension, body and underbody protection, as well as software and multimedia system.
Delivery route
The route of the first batch from the Volkswagen plant to Kazakhstan will be about 3.5 thousand km. After arrival, the new cars will be delivered to official dealer centers and undergo pre-sale preparation.
National launch
Prices, trim levels, the full list of models and official dealers of Volkswagen and Jetta in Kazakhstan will be announced during the national launch of the brands in August 2026.
Earlier, Kursiv Avto reported that Volkswagen is relaunching in Kazakhstan with seven Chinese-made models. These include Bora, Passat, Tayron and Talagon, as well as Jetta VA7, VS7 and VS8.
