The passenger will also be able to control some of the car's functions, including heating their seat.

The Volkswagen ID. Tiguan will be offered in three versions. The base rear-wheel-drive version develops 190 hp and is equipped with a 58 kWh battery. The mid-range modification received a 286-hp motor and a 77 kWh battery.

The top variant with 4MOTION all-wheel drive and two electric motors produces 299 hp and is also equipped with a 77 kWh battery. The maximum range reaches 600 km on the WLTP cycle.

Volkswagen positions the ID. Tiguan as an electric crossover for everyday trips and travel. It will be able to carry bicycles and tow a trailer or camper.

The new model is planned to be sold in parallel with the Tiguan, which is equipped with petrol and hybrid powertrains. Prices have not yet been announced.
