Kazakhstan's Viktor Druzin has won a bronze medal at the World Junior (U19) Artistic Swimming Championships, which kicked off in Hungary. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Performance
In the men's solo technical routine, Druzin scored 238.5 points from the judges, finishing third. The victory went to neutral Russian Zakhar Trofimov with 241.2 points. Silver was won by Spain's Eneko Sanchez Aguilar with 240.5 points.
Successful season
For Druzin, this award continued a successful international season. In June, at the World Cup superfinal in Toronto, the Kazakhstani also placed third in the technical solo, then won silver in the free routine and bronze in the mixed duet with Nargiza Bolatova.
About the tournament
The Junior (U19) World Championships are being held in Budapest, Hungary, from August 12 to 16, with 300 athletes from 35 countries. A total of 11 medal sets will be contested. Kazakhstan is represented by 12 athletes.
