Vietjet Qazaqstan has decided to temporarily suspend flights on the "Astana – Omsk – Astana" route. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Earlier, a massive attack was carried out on an oil refinery in Omsk. After that, restrictions on the use of airspace were introduced.
"Due to the introduced periodic restrictions on the use of airspace and the inability to ensure safe and stable flight operations, Vietjet Qazaqstan temporarily suspends flights on the 'Astana – Omsk – Astana' route from July 10 to July 20 inclusive. This decision was made to ensure flight safety, as well as to reduce the risk of long delays and schedule changes," the official statement said.
In this regard, passengers are offered an alternative route to Omsk. From July 14, they can fly from Astana to Petropavlovsk, and then take a bus to Omsk. In the opposite direction, passenger transportation will also be carried out in the same manner.
Passengers who purchased tickets for the period of flight suspension can get a full refund. In addition, each passenger of the canceled flight will automatically receive a voucher worth 10,000 tenge.
