A tourist boat capsized off the coast of Vietnam's Phu Quoc island, killing 15 people. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to VnExpress on Saturday, the boat carried 32 tourists (all Indian citizens) and 4 crew members. The accident killed 15 people (13 men and 2 women), while 21 were rescued and brought ashore.

Authorities said the tourists were employees of a private Indian mobile communications company and had come to Vietnam for a corporate event.

An official investigation into the causes of the tragedy has just begun. Local emergency services and authorities cite the following main versions: - Severe weather conditions — strong winds and high waves at the time of the accident. - Sudden breakdown — according to preliminary data, the vessel may have malfunctioned while en route to An Thoi port.
