US Vice President JD Vance said the conflict in Ukraine will eventually be resolved, calling it only a matter of time. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"We will continue trying to resolve this issue. Yes, it is only a matter of time," he told reporters while speaking about a settlement in Ukraine.
On September 5, Putin received US President's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner at the Kremlin. He gave them an accurate and comprehensive assessment of the situation on the ground, and they promised to adhere to it in dialogue with Kyiv.
The next day, the American delegation arrived in the Ukrainian capital for negotiations. Subsequently, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump spoke by phone. They highly praised the results of the American negotiating team's trips to Moscow and Kyiv.
The Russian leader supported the White House's commitment to constructive partnership and stated the steps Washington could take to stop the conflict. Earlier this year, Russia, the US and Ukraine held three rounds of talks in Abu Dhabi and Geneva.
