First Deputy Prime Minister Nurlybek Nalibayev reported on the construction progress of the Kyzylorda-Zhezkazgan road. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Last year, a 216-kilometer section of this road on the Kyzylorda side was put into operation. "This year we will completely finish the road to Ulytau and hand it over for public use," Nalibayev said at today's session of the Mazhilis.

According to him, construction of the Karagady-Zhezkazgan road will begin this month. It is planned to complete the work on the 575-kilometer road in two years. "In general, major projects will be implemented in the next three years. This road will be built from scratch," the vice-premier said.

The new road will connect the Kyzylorda region and the Ulytau area, increasing transit potential. The project is expected to make a significant contribution to the country's infrastructure development.
