President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that National Fund funds will be allocated only to strategically important projects and will not be spent aimlessly. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Speaking at the first session of the Kurultai, the President noted that the allocation of funds from the National Fund will be carried out only for projects with long-term benefits. He refuted rumors about the aimless spending of funds.

"Funds will not be spent left and right, aimlessly. Such rumors are spread by people who are uninformed and have malicious intentions. The effectiveness of any fund, especially the National Fund, is measured primarily by achieving great success and concrete results for the benefit of future generations," said Tokayev.

The President reminded that children are already benefiting from the National Fund. Significant funds are being transferred to their accounts. The next step is to develop modern, high-quality infrastructure serving the younger generation.

"In other words, a solid foundation will be laid for the country's development for decades and even centuries to come. The foundation of our state will also be strengthened through these good deeds. I will dwell on this issue in more detail in my Address to the people of Kazakhstan," Tokayev concluded.
