Salima Omarova, the mother of paramedic Uldana Myrzuan who died in the line of duty, explained in court why she took 4.5 million tenge from her son-in-law Adilet Zeinep. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to Salima Omarova, in the village, after a person's death, weekly memorial gatherings called "beisenbilik" are held. Money was needed for these events, so her eldest daughter asked Adilet for a loan of 4.5 million tenge. In May, Adilet demanded the money back, threatening to collect it through court. He also said they would use the money to pay off his daughter's loan.
