Three tourists were rescued from Big Almaty Peak. The young people could not descend from 3,680 meters on their own and called for help. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, three tourists born in 2005–2006 were stranded on the mountain. Rescuers from the Republican Rescue Service "Barys" were dispatched. They had to reach the tourists on foot through the Prokhodnoye Gorge.

During the examination of the group, it turned out that one of the young men felt unwell and complained of symptoms of altitude sickness. Rescuers provided him with first aid, after which they organized a safe descent for all participants.

No one was injured as a result of the incident. The Ministry reminded that before hiking in the mountains, it is necessary to objectively assess one's strength, maintain a drinking regimen, and carefully monitor one's health, especially at high altitudes.

More details about the rescue operation: Rescuers from the "Barys" service reached the tourists on foot through the Prokhodnoye Gorge. One of them showed signs of altitude sickness, so rescuers immediately provided first aid. All three tourists were safely descended.

Ministry experts recommend considering health conditions, drinking enough water, and allowing time for acclimatization before going to the mountains. At the first signs of altitude sickness, one should immediately descend.

Thanks to the coordinated work of the rescue service, a tragedy was avoided. Rescuers remind of the importance of following safety rules in the mountains.
