Starting next week, an average speed measurement system will be launched on three toll roads. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to information distributed by the national company KazAvtoZhol, from November 9, the average speed of all vehicles will be measured on several sections of roads of republican significance.

System feature
The main feature of the system is that vehicle speed is calculated not only at the camera location but across the entire control zone.
"Special devices record the time a vehicle enters and exits the control zone. Based on this data, the distance traveled and time spent are taken into account, and the average speed is determined automatically. If a driver exceeds the established speed limit, information about the violation is sent to the relevant authorized bodies," specialists say.
Earlier, the issue of covering the costs of maintaining toll roads from their own revenues was discussed.
