A man in Almaty who filmed a video with three women in hijabs has been held accountable. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Police detected illegal content during social media monitoring. "The author openly promoted a lifestyle contrary to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and generally accepted moral and ethical values. His identity has been established," police said.
The man, who boasted of having three wives, was charged under Part 3-1 of Article 456-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (placement of illegal content). He was fined 20 MCI (86,500 tenge).
After a preventive conversation, he voluntarily deleted the published materials from his social media page.
It is noted that a resident named Bakytzhan posted photos with three women in hijabs on his page, as well as a video of them going to a store together. In response to critics, he recorded another video saying, "No matter who says what, we don't care." The police demanded the removal of that particular video.
