A scandal is brewing in Kazakh social media over posts by a man who openly displays his family life with three wives. Netizens are arguing about the legality and ethics of such unions in a secular state. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Bauyrzhan Bakytzhanuly has turned his blog into a platform for promoting polygamy. He regularly publishes videos and photos with several women with whom he shares a household. Their faces are hidden in the footage.

"We live, work, raise children, and take responsibility for our choices. The rest everyone is free to judge in their own way," the blogger wrote, adding that his family "definitely does not make this world worse."

The man stated that he does not intend to hide his marital status, as he considers secret unions a sign of cowardice. In his opinion, a man who is afraid to publicize his relationships is not worth marrying.

"They are not only the decoration of my life. They are its peace. Each of them is different. With their own character, dreams, and worries. I am grateful to Allah for women who know how to love, support, and inspire," Bakytzhanuly writes under one of the videos.

His posts have sparked a wave of criticism and debate among users. Kazakh social media has split into two camps.

Many commenters reminded that Kazakhstan is a secular republic where polygamy is officially banned, and called on law enforcement to respond to the content. Users expressed the opinion that such posts "turn the institution of family inside out" and violate women's rights under the guise of religion.

Some men supported Bakytzhanuly, approving his lifestyle and courage. They thank the man's wife for her wisdom and submission and wish their union family well-being.

"One microflora," "Mashallah brother! The main thing is that you are happy," "I am annoyed by this propaganda of polygamy," users write.

Despite mass tags of official law enforcement accounts under Bakytzhanuly's posts, the police and ministry representatives have not yet given a legal assessment of his actions.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Kazakh bloggers Aitugan Galymov and Asem, better known on social media as Erkewoka, have remained one of the most discussed topics in the Kazakh-language segment of social networks for the second week. After the "syrga salu" ceremony with a new chosen one, despite Galymov having an official wife and children, disputes erupted around the couple about the admissibility of polygamy.
