Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the SCO summit, stated the need for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

During the conversation, Modi touched upon the situation in Ukraine, emphasizing that all issues should be resolved peacefully and that it is necessary to "adhere to this direction". He proposed discussing all these matters.

He also expressed great hope for Putin's participation in the BRICS summit, which will be held in New Delhi in September.

After Modi's words, Putin said: "Thank you very much, dear Prime Minister. We are moving along this path".
