India is in talks to sell the supersonic BrahMos cruise missile to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Reuters.

According to sources, the negotiations are at an early stage and no formal agreement has been reached yet. The BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile jointly developed by India and Russia. It can be launched from air, land, and sea platforms and has a range of up to 290 kilometers.

If the deal goes through, it would mark India's first sale of such a weapon to the UAE. This move aligns with India's strategy to expand its arms exports. The UAE has long sought to diversify its sources of military equipment.

Indian officials have not officially commented on the matter. Experts believe such an agreement would strengthen bilateral military-technical cooperation.
