Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the development of the nuclear industry. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, attention was paid to the work being carried out under the strategy for the development of the nuclear industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2050, including the study of new promising uranium areas, geological exploration and expansion of the mineral resource base.
The plans of the national atomic company Kazatomprom for further large-scale geological exploration work were also considered.
The meeting was held according to the government's statement.
