ASTANA, July 13 – Sputnik. In Kazakhstan, 233,000 applicants took the Unified National Testing (UNT). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Education, approximately 73.1% of applicants took the test in Kazakh, 26.8% in Russian, and 383 people in English. Applicants were allowed to take the UNT twice, resulting in 233,000 applicants taking the test a total of 422,000 times.
Based on the test results, about 177,000 applicants scored the threshold score, which is 76% of the total number of participants. The average UNT score across five subjects was 69 points.
The highest score of 140 points was achieved by Aset Altair from Pavlodar region and Alfiya Balkhan from Kyzylorda region (via KAZTEST conversion). 821 people achieved results above 130 points.
Thanks to the creation of comfortable conditions for applicants with special educational needs, 800 applicants participated in the UNT. This year, more than 95,000 appeals were received, of which applications regarding 152 unique test tasks were satisfied.
During the UNT, 890 violations were detected. Among them, 522 applicants were deprived of the opportunity to take the test due to attempts to bring smartphones, cheat sheets, and other prohibited items. For violating rules during testing, 361 people were removed from the audience, and their results were annulled. Some test-takers were found to have smartwatches, micro-earpieces, smartphones, and other prohibited items.
According to the ministry, after checking video recordings, the results of 7 violators were annulled.
