The main UNT, which began on May 10, 2026, was taken about 187 thousand times, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
73% of applicants took the test in Kazakh, 27% in Russian, and 323 times in English. After the fourth week, 67% of applicants scored the threshold score.
The average score for five subjects was 64 points. The highest result — 140 points — was achieved by a graduate of Pavlodar region, Aset Altaiyr.
Special attention is paid to creating comfortable conditions for applicants with special educational needs (SEN). 556 applicants with SEN participated in the UNT.
Applicants have the right to appeal the content of test tasks within 30 minutes after the test completion. Appeals for technical reasons are accepted directly during the test.
Over four weeks of the UNT, 391 violations were detected. 246 applicants were disqualified from testing for attempting to bring smartphones, smart glasses, micro-earpieces, cheat sheets, and other prohibited items. Another 145 people were removed from the classroom for violations during testing, and their results were annulled.
No cases of outsiders passing instead of applicants were detected. After the UNT-2026 ends, video recordings will be analyzed until October 31 of the calendar year. If cases of using prohibited items or violating rules are detected, the UNT results are annulled.
Recall that about 240 thousand applicants submitted more than 446 thousand applications to participate in the testing, considering two opportunities.
