ASTANA, June 8 – Sputnik. The main UNT, which started on May 10, 2026, was taken about 187 thousand times, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
73% of applicants took the test in Kazakh, 27% in Russian, and 323 times in English. According to the results of the fourth week, 67% of applicants scored the threshold score. The average score for five subjects was 64 points. The highest result – 140 points – was achieved by a graduate of Pavlodar region, Asset Altaiyr.
Special attention is paid to creating comfortable conditions for applicants with special educational needs (SEN). 556 applicants with SEN participated in the UNT. Applicants have the right to appeal the content of test tasks within 30 minutes after the test completion. For technical reasons, appeals are accepted directly during testing.
In four weeks of the UNT, 391 violations were detected. 246 applicants were disqualified for attempting to bring smartphones, smart glasses, micro-earpieces, cheat sheets, and other prohibited items. Another 145 people were removed from the classroom for violating rules during testing, and their results were canceled. No cases of impersonation were detected.
After the completion of the UNT-2026, video recordings will be analyzed until October 31 of the calendar year. If violations are found, the UNT results will be canceled. Recall that about 240 thousand applicants submitted more than 446 thousand applications to participate in the testing, taking into account two opportunities.
