Specialists from the Ministry of Health reminded that salt is one of the essential substances for the human body, but its excessive consumption can negatively affect health. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"Salt is one of the products used in human nutrition since ancient times. Without it, not a single cell in our body can function," the ministry's statement reads.
What are the benefits of salt?

The World Health Organization recommends consuming no more than 5 grams of salt per day. This is approximately one teaspoon of salt.
Experts advise reducing salt when cooking, replacing it with various spices and natural additives. Also, you should read the composition of products bought in stores and pay attention to their salt content.
For people with chronic diseases, controlling salt intake is especially important.
