Important changes take effect in the country from September 14. Now Otbasy Bank will be able to verify and update the data of citizens standing in the housing queue without separate consent for the collection and processing of personal data. Since May 24, 2025, the housing queue has been transferred to the bank. Since then, work has been underway to update citizens' data.
Previously, a full check of all data was not possible because some citizens did not give consent to the processing of personal data. Now the legislation allows checking the data of all citizens standing in the queue.
First of all, information affecting the right to be in the queue is checked, including the availability of housing. If a citizen has housing that, by law, is grounds for removal from the queue, this information is checked in accordance with the established procedure.
Otbasy Bank checks the family composition of citizens, the availability of housing, and other information affecting the right to be registered as needing housing. This check is aimed at ensuring that the housing queue is up to date, transparent, and fair.
