Kazakhstan will send 2.1 million doses of flu vaccine to its regions. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Health, 2.1 million doses of vaccine have been purchased for free vaccination of the population.
The first 564,000 doses have been delivered to the country and have begun to be sent to the regions in stages.
"The vaccine has been delivered to Almaty, Turkistan and Zhetisu regions, as well as to the cities of Almaty and Shymkent. Delivery of the vaccine to the remaining regions is planned until October 5," the ministry said.
Immunization work has begun in medical organizations where the vaccine has been delivered.
The Russian-produced Grippol®️ vaccine was purchased for the vaccination campaign. Its strain composition corresponds to the recommendations of the World Health Organization for the upcoming epidemic season, the ministry said.
The first to receive the vaccine are:
- 01medical workers;
- 02children registered at dispensaries;
- 03orphans and children left without parental care;
- 04the contingent and employees of medical and social institutions;
- 05people at high risk of infection according to epidemiological indications.
