A note about the presence of explosives was found on board an AJet airline plane operating a flight from Ankara to Sanliurfa. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
This was reported by the governor of Sanliurfa province, Hasan Sildak. There were 136 passengers and seven crew members on board the plane.
According to the governor, flight No. 4180 departed from Ankara on October 5 at 19:00 local time. At 20:05 the plane landed at Sanliurfa GAP airport. After the note was discovered, the authorities took measures for the safe disembarkation of people and inspection of the aircraft.
"All measures have been taken for the safe evacuation of the passengers and crew on board the plane," Hasan Sildak said.
According to local media, the passengers and crew members were evacuated. The plane is being inspected by security service specialists. In the available reports, there are so far no results of the search for explosives.
Recall that on September 30, on flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, the co-pilot attacked the captain and tried to seize control of the plane. There were more than 170 passengers and crew members on board.
Passengers and crew members managed to neutralize the attacker. A reserve pilot on board landed the plane at Tabuk airport in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The co-pilot was detained by Saudi authorities and later handed over to the UAE.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that after the flydubai incident, the airline temporarily suspended all flights between Dubai and Israel. The airline said it would resume flights after receiving additional information based on the results of the investigation.
