In Turkestan region, contractors replaced poor-quality asphalt pavement at their own expense, totaling 119.4 million tenge. The order was given following quality inspections of road works. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the regional Department of Passenger Transport and Highways, specialists regularly conduct laboratory quality control of materials and completed works. Inspections revealed violations committed during road repairs.

Contractors were required to eliminate the identified defects without using budget funds. In total, about 15,000 square meters of asphalt concrete pavement were relaid at their expense, amounting to 119.4 million tenge. Additionally, road companies were fined 10 million tenge for using materials that did not meet established requirements.

The akimat noted that quality control of road construction continues. The authorities intend to continue inspections at all stages of road repair and construction to prevent the use of low-quality materials and ensure compliance with established standards.
