An enterprise for deep processing of livestock raw materials will be launched in the Turkistan region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the enterprise will specialize in deep processing of animal bones, including raw materials supplied from local fattening grounds. The production capacity will allow producing up to 5 thousand tons of oil and gelatin products per year.
The total investment in the project amounts to 9 billion tenge. At the first stage, 2.5 billion tenge of investments have been attracted, and 30 permanent jobs have been created. The launch of the first stage of the enterprise is planned for September of this year.
Currently, construction and installation works have been fully completed, and the main technological equipment has been installed. The ministry notes that the project is of great importance for the region. It will form a full-fledged production chain for processing livestock raw materials.
Bones, which were previously considered mainly as production waste, will now be used as raw materials for producing products with high added value. As part of further development of production, the investor is working on expanding the range of products. In particular, the possibility of producing tableware, feed, and other products from animal bones is being considered.
