In the village of Ekpindi in the Turkestan region, the roof of a building housing a cafe and a store caught fire. The fire engulfed 180 square meters, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Course of the fire

When the first fire crews arrived at the scene, the roof was already burning. The fire was extinguished by Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel together with "Auyl Qutqarushylary".

"The area of the fire was 180 square meters. There are no casualties," the Ministry of Emergency Situations statement said.

Previous fires

Earlier, "Kursiv" reported on how the roof of a residential five-story building in Taldykorgan was extinguished. Firefighters worked under an increased rank, and 120 people, including 30 children, had to be evacuated from the building.

Another fire was extinguished in Astana on the same day. Residents were evacuated from the burning nine-story building: using a three-section ladder and an aerial ladder, 17 people, including four children, were rescued from the upper floors.
