A fatal accident occurred in the village of Enbekshi, Turkistan region. A Volkswagen Polo carrying children veered off the road and crashed into a tree. The impact was so strong that the car was torn in two. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Otyrar.
As a result of the accident, five children from one family died. Another child sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. Doctors managed to save his life, but his condition remains critical.
According to preliminary police data, the driver lost control of the vehicle.
"A criminal case has been opened regarding the accident. The investigation is establishing all the circumstances of the incident," the Turkistan region police department reported.
At the request of the parents, information about the condition of the surviving child is not disclosed.
Earlier, Kursiv reported on a horrific accident in Pavlodar. The driver of a Mitsubishi Carisma drove into the oncoming lane, hit three pedestrians, then knocked down a light pole and rammed a bus stop. Two people died as a result of the accident.
