In the Tulkibas district of the Turkistan region, a 32-year-old father of five was stabbed to death. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Information about the incident spread on social media. According to online reports, fellow villagers attacked the man and brutally killed him. The wife of the deceased said that when she rushed to the hospital and saw her husband's wounds, her hair stood on end.
"Your husband? Look," – when they opened the cloth on his face, blood gushed from his throat. The upper part of the throat was also stabbed. All fingers were broken, swollen and bruised. There were knife wounds on both hands," – said the wife of the deceased.
The last moments of the 32-year-old man were captured by a street surveillance camera. The footage shows the man being forced to the ground in the middle of the road and tortured by fellow villagers. Despite his attempts to escape, a group of people did not stop the torture.
The grieving family is upset that the suspects are still free. According to the mother of the deceased, Pakizat Altynbekova, the suspects are at large. "My son lies in the ground, in the black earth. The rest are all at home eating and having fun. They say one guy was taken to Shymkent to a pre-trial detention center. The one who ordered it was released. He is at home eating, lying in a warm bed," – said the mother of the deceased.
The police of the Turkistan region said a criminal case has been opened. "The police identified all participants in the incident, the suspects were detained. Based on the results of the investigation, a legal assessment will be given to the actions of all participants and a procedural decision will be made," – police said. An investigation is currently underway.
