A technical malfunction occurred on the runway of Turkestan airport on September 11 involving one of the aircraft. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The information was shared by the Berkut 001 Telegram channel, citing the Transport Police Department.
"On September 11, at Turkestan airport, a technical malfunction occurred on the runway involving one of the aircraft. Necessary work is currently underway to eliminate it. There are no casualties," the department said.
It is not specified what exactly the malfunctions were or which aircraft was involved.
The airport's online board also recorded changes for several flights on September 11. In particular, the times of some arrivals and departures were adjusted.
Specialists continue to eliminate the malfunction. No casualties have been reported.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that a FlyArystan aircraft caught fire during scheduled technical work at Almaty International Airport. The fire was quickly extinguished, and there were no passengers or crew on board.
One employee of the Air Astana Group was injured; after receiving medical assistance, he was discharged from the hospital. The aircraft was temporarily taken out of service, and Air Astana and Almaty airport began an internal investigation.
