Turkestan will become the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2027. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wrote this on his X social media page. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"By the decision of the ICESCO organization, the sacred city of Turkestan will be named the cultural capital of the Islamic world next year," he wrote.
It is noted that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to the Republic of Turkey has ended. The head of state was seen off at Ankara airport by the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Omer Bolat and other officials.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the 13th summit of the Organization of Turkic States, held at the Exhibition Center of the Presidential Complex in Ankara.
