A Kazakhstan pavilion opened in Turkmenistan as part of a national cuisine festival. A copy of the Baiterek monument from Astana was installed on its grounds. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The festival was organized ahead of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS in the "Avaza" tourist zone on the Caspian coast.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also took part in it. The CIS leaders toured the pavilions and got acquainted with the process of preparing national dishes.

They also visited Kazakhstan's national pavilion. Several thematic areas were organized here, presenting the country's historical and cultural heritage and modern achievements.

Yurts were also set up and a copy of the Baiterek monument from Astana was installed. And in Turkmenistan's pavilion, an exhibition of local melon products, bakery goods and Turkmen carpets opened.

The heads of state were shown a literary and musical performance called "Oghuzlar". It is worth noting that today the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS will be held at the "Avaza" complex.
