US President Donald Trump said he urged Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy to end the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"I want the conflict to stop. I told him I want to end the war," the White House chief said in an interview with journalists. He stressed the need to immediately stop the loss of life. The meeting was held behind closed doors.
Following the meeting, Zelenskyy stated that Trump agreed to issue a license to Kyiv for the production of interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system. Later, media reported that the US side decided it would be safer to produce these missiles in Poland. Trump himself did not provide specific details about the negotiations, describing them as "very good."
