US President Donald Trump has invited Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky to hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Bloomberg reported the invitation, citing sources. "This week, Donald Trump again invited Volodymyr Zelensky to travel to Moscow for a meeting with Vladimir Putin, despite his repeated refusals," the publication said.
According to the outlet, Trump's request upset the Ukrainian president.
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that Russia remains ready to receive Volodymyr Zelensky in Moscow.
Trump and Zelensky met on Tuesday in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The closed portion of the meeting lasted about 40 minutes.
