US President Donald Trump said he is helping Ukraine, but Europe is paying for it. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In an interview with reporters, Trump noted that former US President Joe Biden provided Ukraine with more than $300 billion, but Europe is compensating for these costs.

According to him, American aid goes to European countries and NATO, which pay the US for it. Trump also said he cannot allocate $300 billion to Kyiv for weapons as Biden did.

"I can't do that," he said.
