US President Donald Trump has again said that a solution to the conflict in Ukraine is close. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Earlier, Trump said that the end of the conflict in Ukraine was closer than ever. "I think we are close to ending two (conflicts). The (conflict) between Russia and Ukraine is also moving in this direction," Trump said while speaking to voters in the state of Iowa.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that Russia wants to end military operations in Ukraine as soon as possible through a peaceful settlement. He noted that Moscow is ready for negotiations, but no such intention is observed on the part of the Kyiv regime.
In addition, Trump previously said he would not impose sanctions because he is close to an agreement on Ukraine.
