US President Donald Trump has said he will not impose sanctions against Russia due to approaching an agreement on settling the situation in Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"When you are close to an agreement and the negotiations are very delicate, imposing sanctions is inappropriate," Trump told journalists at the White House.
The US president recalled that he has the authority to introduce restrictive measures "any day."
However, in his opinion, those calling for sanctions do not understand the essence of the issue and lack common sense.
