US President Donald Trump held phone conversations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin on his birthday. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to Reuters, citing Ukrainian presidential communications adviser Dmytro Lytvyn, the call between Trump and Zelenskyy took place on June 14 and lasted about 30–35 minutes.

The agency reported that the Ukrainian leader congratulated the US president on his birthday, and the sides discussed the war, diplomatic efforts, and issues of peaceful settlement.

"It was a normal conversation; the president congratulated Trump on his birthday, and they managed to discuss everything important — in particular, ideas for negotiations," a source told RBC-Ukraine.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin also called Trump. The conversation was reported by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

According to him, the conversation lasted about an hour. The sides discussed key issues of the international agenda and prospects for further contacts between Moscow and Washington.

"Putin did not hide his respect for Donald's qualities, his ability to take a punch and achieve his goals," Ushakov said.

He also said that US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff may visit Russia in the near future.

The American leader expressed readiness to use his influence on Kyiv and US European allies to promote a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.

According to Ushakov, Trump advocated for a cessation of hostilities, and Putin confirmed Moscow's readiness for direct contacts with the Ukrainian side.

"If Zelenskyy wants a meeting, let him come to Moscow," the Russian leader said during the conversation.

The sides paid special attention to the situation in the Middle East. According to Ushakov, Trump told Putin that the agreement between the US and Iran is in its final stages and could be announced soon.

In turn, Putin expressed satisfaction that Washington and Tehran are managing to avoid further escalation.

"The conflict could have set the entire region on fire, but now it is being contained," Ushakov conveyed the Russian leader's position.

Additionally, Trump sent greetings from his wife Melania Trump to Putin, and the Russian president asked to convey his best wishes to her.

On June 14, Donald Trump celebrated his 80th birthday. After returning to the White House, he remains the oldest US president to take office.
