President Donald Trump used a press conference on the eve of the midterm elections to discuss his construction and makeover projects throughout Washington DC, including the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing The Guardian.

Trump has been speaking for nearly 20 minutes, and he’s yet to actually make any substantial reference to the midterm elections which will take place tomorrow – and will decide the makeup of Congress in his final two years in office. Instead, the president is using the opportunity to talk about his construction and makeover projects throughout Washington DC, including on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

During the press conference, Trump held up photos of the Reflecting Pool in Washington DC. “It’s really a beautiful thing. It’s a work of art in many ways, but it was a work of art that never worked, but now it will work,” Trump said, while joking that the pool should be renamed after him.

As Democrats climb in the polls, Trump’s focus on construction projects rather than the upcoming elections has drawn attention.
