US President Donald Trump declared that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open for navigation and that oil transportation through it has reached record levels. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the American leader, more oil was transported through the strategically important waterway yesterday than ever before. Trump also emphasized that the US has full control of the situation in the strait area.

"We are doing very well regarding the Strait of Hormuz, yesterday we got more oil than has ever passed through it (...) The strait is fully open," the US president told reporters at the White House.

Speaking about Iran, Trump noted that he does not seek further escalation but warned Tehran of consequences if agreements are violated.

"If Iran does not comply with the terms of the agreement or behaves inappropriately, I will do what I have to do," Trump said.

He added that a few months ago Iran had powerful air forces, but the situation has now changed.

Additionally, the White House head commented on relations with NATO allies. He stated that Washington did not need partners' help during the recent conflict with Iran.

"We invited them to join, but they were not with us. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said: 'We will be with you as soon as you win.' I replied: 'When we win, your help will no longer be needed,'" Trump said.
