US President Donald Trump has instructed the military to develop options for strikes on Iran's energy facilities. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to CNN correspondent Zachary Cohen, one option under consideration is that the US could carry out another series of intense strikes, then declare victory and promptly withdraw troops from the Middle East region.
The specific timeline of the operation and the exact list of targets have not yet been approved.
Earlier, Trump said the conflict with Tehran "will end very soon." Speaking at rallies in Arizona and Alaska, he stressed that his main goal is to completely deprive Iran of hopes of creating nuclear weapons, promising to take new actions immediately after the midterm congressional elections.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that the administration of US President Donald Trump proposed investing $5 billion in creating a new international fund to restore the energy infrastructure of the Middle East. This initiative is aimed at eliminating the consequences of the seven-month war with Iran.
