US President Donald Trump said the European Union can independently manage weapons purchased from Washington, including fighter jets, and may transfer them to Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In an interview, Trump said: "We sell ammunition, we sell fighter jets to the European Union, and they do what they want, for example, hand them over to Ukraine."
The US President noted that the US is currently supplying weapons to European countries, and the decision on their use and transfer to Ukraine is within the competence of the European side.
This statement was made in the context of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. Earlier, the "Eurotroika" countries expressed their intention to jointly produce weapons for Ukraine.
