The host of the YouTube channel "Club Service" thoroughly reviewed the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250 in its top trim. According to Ilya Sviridov, this version has become one of Toyota's most successful models in recent years due to its proven technology, rich equipment, and lack of controversial innovations. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The blogger reviewed the top version with a 2.8-liter turbodiesel producing 200 hp and a classic automatic transmission.

Sviridov cited the reliable construction as the main reason for his fondness for the Prado:

"It has no new or untested solutions that Toyota came up with to extract money from good people around the world."

According to the blogger, this is why he preferred the Prado over new Toyota models with gasoline V6 engines.

"The 300 series turned out not to be the most reliable. These turbo V6 engines started failing," the host stated.

He also emphasized that the "Prado 250" uses the well-known 2.8-liter diesel and a classic torque converter automatic.

The top trim received almost all possible options. According to the reviewer, the top version includes virtually the entire set of modern equipment.

Sviridov separately noted that the car is officially supplied to European markets.

"This is a normal 'Japanese' car that is now being supplied to Europe, Georgia, and Kazakhstan," he added.

The off-roader is equipped with differential locks, Multi-Terrain Select system, electronic assistants, and a disconnecting anti-roll bar.

"There is a rear differential lock, a center differential lock, and a stabilizer that can be disconnected to improve geometric off-road capability," the blogger listed.

Despite the rich equipment, the Prado's interior left Sviridov with mixed impressions. He criticized the multimedia system and the graphics of the surround-view cameras, calling them outdated.

"You will be genuinely amazed at how in 2026 it is possible to draw all this like that," the author believes.

However, he immediately added that simplicity is Toyota's brand philosophy:

"The important thing is that it works well. It will work well."

At the end of the review, Sviridov called the Land Cruiser Prado 250 the only modern Toyota off-roader that he truly likes.

"This is a wonderful off-roader on a frame, with a good suspension, and a good transmission. Real all-wheel drive," the blogger admired.

In his opinion, the Prado remains an old-school car – with proven technology and high off-road capability, albeit at a very high price.

Earlier, Sviridov harshly criticized the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. Also, Kursiv Avto reported that Toyota divided the Land Cruiser 250 into 2 categories.
